Idols
The concept for this project was created by Alanna Cordero and serves as an exploration of inherited strength — an homage to the women who taught her that vulnerability is not fragility, but power. Rooted in sensuality, endurance, and self-definition, the project considers womanhood as something consciously lived and continuously rewritten. Referencing her mother, Rita Cordero, as well as cultural figures such as Madonna and Frida Kahlo who have endured, reinvented, and asserted their autonomy. Supporting the project through production and photography, I then extended the work into graphic compositions. Reworking the photographs into layered visual pieces, intending carry its narrative beyond the lens.
