Featured ProjectsInspired by the “babushkas” of Brighton Beach, this editorial piece created by Milan Marukovich draws on the bold, unmistakable style of Russian grandmothers. Fur coats and hats, red lips, cigarettes in hand, set against the nostalgic backdrop of Brooklyn’s Little Odessa. Shot between the shoreline and local neighborhood markets, the series traces key moments in Russian history through fashion: from traditional dress inspired by nesting dolls, Soviet-era espionage, and opulent furs, culminating in a revolutionary finale inspired by the band Pussy Riot, symbolizing protest, resistance, and the ongoing desire for freedom.

Planet X
Neo-futuristic fashion has taken the world by storm. Clothes that feature intricate layering, asymmetry, and monochromatic color schemes have dominated the runway. We wanted to do a shoot that plays on these themes and highlight the dystopian landscape that is often associated with them. Several of the pieces created incorporate found materials such as wires, tubing and machinery, serving as an allegory for the increasingly inescapable, often suffocating influence of technology in the modern world.
Miscellaneous
A curated collection of personal work, creative experiments, and independent projects spanning illustration, graphic design, photography, digital media, and mixed-media concepts. This section showcases work created outside of client briefs and coursework, highlighting an exploratory approach to visual storytelling, concept development, and design. Each project reflects an interest in experimentation, craftsmanship, and the process of translating ideas into thoughtful, engaging visuals.
Following her passing, this tribute shoot for Lotus Magazine was created in honor of the revolutionary designer Vivienne Westwood and her many contributions to the fashion world.
